Girls Volleyball

Mt. Sinai beat Longwood in the final of the six-team Mt. Sinai Tournament. Tournament MVP Jamie Hinson served nine consecutive points in the first game of Mt. Sinai’s 15-8, 15-9 win. Mt. Sinai beat Westhampton, 15-6, 15-8, in the semifinals. Longwood beat Miller Place, 15-11, 7-15, 15-8, to advance to the final.

“We have a lot of players back,” said eighth-year Mt. Sinai head coach Dave Klecher. “We played as a team today, really getting contributions from everyone.” Ro Tucci, Melanie Simon and Erin Augello of Mt.
