Smithtown 5, Longwood 0: Elizabeth Pennino threw a no-hitter with two walks and 14 strikeouts for Smithtown in a Suffolk League I game. Pennino went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. March 28

Sachem 5, Longwood 3: Sachem’s Ashley Marchese went 2-for-3 with a run and the game-winning RBI when she singled in Adrienne Scarabino for a 4-1 lead in the second. Meredith Mierenberg and allowed three runs on four hits, while striking out eight. WP – Mierenberg. LP – Potagoula. HR – S 1 (Gandley).  April 2

Ward Melville 4, Longwood 0: Allison Mathosian threw a one- hitter with seven strikeouts and three walks for Ward Melville (2- 1). Kaitlin Johnson and Jillian Tarabocchia each went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Lauren Fortuna’s RBI triple opened the scoring in the top of the first. Longwood is 0-5. WP – Mathosian. Longwood 3, Brentwood 1: Megan Walters’ single scored Cristina Ospina, then Diana Kaouris scored on a fielder’s choice to cap a three-run fifth for Longwood(1-7). Amanda Sullivan went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jennifer Rosenthal threw a two-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts. Yvette Franquiz scored on an error in the sixth for Brentwood (1-6). Bay Shore 15, Longwood 1: Haley Mirrer threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts in six innings in her first start of the year for Bay Shore (10-0). Mirrer, who was out with mononucleosis, went 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Mary Beth Puccio was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Longwood is 1-9. WP – Mirrer. LP – Rosenthal. Longwood 5, Centereach 4: Laura Coleman’s two-run double to center gave Longwood (2-9) a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Meghan Walters went 2-for-3 with a double with an RBI. Centereach is 3-7. WP – Walters. LP – Amato.  April 25

Smithtown 15, Longwood 0: Michelle Reinke scattered four hits and no walks with eight strikeouts for Smithtown (9-2) in a game shortened after five innings (run rule). Jackie Churilla went 3-for- 4 with a triple. Longwood is 4-9. WP – Reinke. LP – Rosenthal. May 2

Floyd 10, Longwood 4: Lindsay Heinz hit a leadoff home run in the first inning to give Floyd (7-8) a 1-0 lead. Heinz’s two-run triple during Floyd’s eight-run third inning made it 8-1. Heinz finished 2- for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. Brittany Jackolski went 2-for-3 with two runs. Longwood is 3-12. WP – O’Connor. LP – Petraglia. HR – F 1 (Heinz).May 6, 2003
