Jaime Buckridge, Guard, Senior, Sachem: The heart and soul of the Flaming Arrows . . . All-County last year with averages of 14.6 points and 4.3 rebounds . . . Gifted defensive player . . . Kelly Ottati, Guard, Junior, Hampton Bays: Scored 248 points, had 82 assists and was an 80 percent foul shooter, 90 percent in the fourth quarter, last season . . . Crafty point guard who was League VII Rookie of the Year as a freshman and All-League last season. Kristin Pepe, Forward, Senior, Northport: Excellent rebounder who grabbed 19 in Long Island Championship Game against Farmingdale . . . Three-year starter who averaged 12 points per game . . .  Laurie Swanson hit four three-pointers as Sachem outscored Longwood 22-10 in the third quarter to take an eight-point lead en route to a 70-44 win. Swanson (19 points) was 6-for-9 from the field in the second half. June Morrissey scored 13 first-half points as Brentwood (4-0) took a 26-17 halftime lead en route to a 49-44 League I girls basketball win over Longwood.

Kim Brown went 4-for-4 from the foul line in the last 50 seconds of the game to help keep Longwood (2-3) at bay.
