He finished with the third highest average on Long Island with a 226.89. The senior bowled 15 games of at least a 200, and rolled a 240 in Game 6 of the state All-Star competition to help Suffolk capture the title.
Another victory for Suffolk All-Stars in state bowling tournament: North Babylon’s Anthony Cioffi beat everyone with a competition-high 1,267 series.

North Babylon’s Anthony Cioffi shined for Suffolk County in the state boys bowling All-Star competition, knocking down the most pins of anyone.
Suffolk placed first with a 5,963 total, its fifth title in six years, and Nassau finished third (5,800) in the composite division championships Saturday in Syracuse.
Cioffi had a six-game 1,267 series, including a high of 237 in Game 2.
“The atmosphere at The Oncenter was truly amazing,” the senior said. “I loved the competitive vibe I got from every team because we were all there for the same thing and that’s to bring home the state championship.”
Entering the final game, Suffolk had an 80-pin lead and won by 38. The team waited anxiously as final scores were calculated, coach Doug Dwyer said. Longwood‘s Michael Mirabile had a 240 in Game 6 when the championship was on the line.
Jake Wallasch of Smithtown earned the Sportsmanship Award for Suffolk.
