This might be the year for Bayport-Blue Point to emerge from the League V pack. Led by reigning All-County player Matt Richards and fellow senior Chad Stevens at second singles, the Phantoms could surprise the competition. Defending champ Patchogue-Medford cannot be dismissed with Steven Marzagalli at first singles. Longwood, with Eric Sumanaru, should be right in the mix.

Top-seeded Felipe Reis and Henry Lee (Ross) defeated No.4 Reid Paoletta and Cooper Lacetra (Westhampton), 6-0, 6-2, and No.2. Bryan Lehrer and J.D. Sipola (Westhampton) defeated No.6 Spencer Kuzon and Cole Katzter (Ross) 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, in doubles. The finals are 3 p.m. tomorrow at Shoreham-Wading River. May 8
