It was a banner day as several teams clinched league titles. Among the winners was Half Hollow Hills East (10-0), which won its sixth consecutive League I title with a 7-0 win over Huntington.

Sayville (10-0) won the League V regular-season title as they defeated Bellport 7-0. Sayville finished 15-1 overall, with their only defeat being an early-season loss in a non-league game against East Islip. Jamie Daniello defeated Kristine Zanazzi, 6-3, 6-0, in first singles to key Sayville’s clinching victory. Daniello had a 15-1 record this season, and will be the first seed in the Division III tournament at Patchogue-Medford High School Saturday. Sayville was co-champs of the Division in 1994.

Nicole Zergebel and Lauren Kopp beat Casey Schmidt and Imelyn Fernandez in second doubles, 6-3, 6-2, to help East Islip (10-0) in its 5 1/2-1 1/2 win over Bay Shore. Zergebel and Kopp improved their season record to 12-1. The win clinches a third straight League III, Division II title for the Lady Redmen, who have compiled a 28-2 record in that span.

Lawren McDonnell defeated Anna Kwiatkowski in first singles, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4, as Southampton beat Floyd, 5-2. The win clinches the League VIII title for the Mariners (14-0) . . . Annie Murnane and Kay Knapp defeated Sarah Scafetta and Becky Ashare in first doubles, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3), as Shoreham-Wading River beat Longwood, 6-1. The win earned the Wildcats a share of the League VI title with Westhampton . . . Toni Saitta and Lauren Ytaraspe defeated Rebecca Mack and April Hurd, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, in second doubles to help Babylon (8-0) clinch the League IV championship with a 5-2 win over North Babylon.
