Cliff Sharp bowled a 709 series (266-220-223) and Tony Corsetti had a 666 series (222-234-210) to help Bellport capture the boys Conference II championship with 3,064 pins at Port Jefferson Lanes. Vinny Sheehan bowled a 627 series, with a high-game 237, to lead second-place Floyd (2,793). Port Jefferson was third (2,647) and Longwood fourth (2,521). – Feb. 23

Boys Bowling

Top-seeded Warren Cooperstein of Connetquot defeated Port Jefferson’s Jim Bindhammer, 183-156, in the final of the county tournament at Sayville Bowl. Bindhammer, the third-seed, beat Conrad Casem of East Islip and Craig Schwab of Harborfields to reach the final. In the doubles final, East Islip’s Don Connelly and Armand Dieso downed Longwood‘s Mark Stopek and Ian Grossman, 395-312. – Feb. 28

Led by Joe Doremus’s 204 in the first game, Riverhead clinched the League IV boys bowling title with a victory over Greenport / Southold. Greenport / Southold got a 626 series and 224 game from John Bokina.

In other matches, Keith Bona rolled a 583 series, including a 212 game as Patchogue-Medford beat Longwood . . . Billy Howard rolled a 412 in two games, including a 221, as Bay Shore beat Middle Country . . .
