Congratulations to Longwood High School senior Nene Brown and sophomore Delaney Israel for being selected as Newsday’s top 25 girls’ flag football players for the 2023 spring season!
NeNe had nine interceptions and returned six for touchdowns. She also had 25 receptions for 412 yards and four TDs, and Delaney threw for 552 yards and eight scores, rushed for 357 yards, and had four touchdowns. #GoLions#LCSDPride

Hauppauge 8, Longwood 0: Emma Condos made a 40-yard catch to set up Melissa O’Connor’s touchdown catch three plays later as No. 1 Hauppauge defeated No. 9 Longwood in the second round of the Suffolk playoffs. Condos also made a flag pull in the end zone for a safety. Taylor Mileti completed 10-of-15 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Hauppauge (12-0-1) will host No. 4 Half Hollow Hills 5 p.m. Monday. Longwood finishes the season 7-5.
