Zach Hin scored off a pass from Nick Parrella with 11 seconds left in overtime to lift Miller Place over Longwood, 13-12, yesterday in the first-ever varsity lacrosse game for the Panthers. 

Miller Place’s James Read (four goals, one assist) tied the score at 12 with 56 seconds left in regulation. Ryan Dunne had two goals and two assists, and Parrella added a goal and nine ground balls. Tom Telesca had seven goals and two assists, setting a career mark and tying a school record for most points in a game as Middle Country held off Longwood, 15-14, Friday in Suffolk Division I boys lacrosse.

Telesca tied a record held by two players, coach Ken Budd said. Telesca scored his final goal with 4:30 left to give Middle Country a 15-13 lead. Steven Boyle and Dom Cerasi each had three goals for Middle Country, which led 10-1 midway through the second quarter.
