SUFFOLK LARGE

Bay Shore looks to win its eighth straight county title behind senior Sarah McCurdy, who won the public school state title in the 600 last year. It also boasts Stephanie Barnes, one of Suffolk’s best triple jumpers, and Tenica Roberts, the defending county champ in the 300. Longwood, last year’s runnerup, will rebuild a bit, but returns talented distance runners Christine Johnston, Jenny Johnston and Kristen Wojtuniack. Lianne Farber, Kelly Abbate and Samantha D’Amato lead a strong core of middle and long distance runners for Northport. Kelly Wanser will be its top long sprinter. Dec. 23
