Mike McVey hit a two-run triple with two outs in the top of the seventh to lift Longwood past host Lindenhurst, 7-5, in a Suffolk League I baseballgame yesterday.

Trailing 5-4 in the seventh, Kenny Wright singled and Alex Lucia drew a walk to set the table for McVey’s hit.

Down 5-1 after the second inning, Lucia and Mark Rutledge each had run-scoring hits to cut the lead to 5-3. Longwood (4-1) added a run in the fourth on Donnie Schaaf’s run-scoring double.
