Keith Hinnant bathed in hot water and Epsom salts Saturday night to soothe his muscles. The Bay Shore senior was soaking in the results of an eventful day. Hinnant had pulled off a rare feat by winning all four of his races at the Suffolk outdoor track and field individual championships at Port Jefferson.

How his body recovers in the next few days will determine the South Carolina-bound Hinnant’s entries for the state meet, which begins Friday in Syracuse.

“When you get home, it takes a little toll on you,” Hinnant said.

At 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, Hinnant was charging around the final lap to win the 800-meter race in 1 minute, 55.78 seconds. At 3:30 p.m., Hinnant burst from the block and cruised to a victory in the 100 in 10.89. At 5:05, he sprinted to anchor the first-place 4 x 100 relay in 43.01. At 5:15, Hinnant concluded the Suffolk meet by running one final lap to conclude the winning 4 x 400 relay in 3:20.5.

“He has a beautiful mix of speed and endurance,” first-year Bay Shore coach Kirk Carter said. “He just amazes me every time he runs.”

Although Hinnant had the most notable performance, the meet was loaded with good times.

Northport’s Kevin Tschirhart overtook Commack’s Kyle Fiasconaro on the final 150 meters of the 4 x 800 to anchor the win in 7:52.92. Commack’s second-place time was 7:55.27. Tschirhart won the 3,200 in 9:14.56 and Fiasconaro was second in 9:17.85 in the 3,200. Brentwood’s Ramon Sosa demonstrated two strong kicks to win the 110 high hurdles in 14.17 and the 400 intermediate hurdles in 53.67. Westhampton’s Randy Nixon took second in the 110 high hurdles in 14.22 and Bayport-Blue Point’s Matt Tommasino was second in the 400 intermediate hurdles in 53.67.

Longwood‘s Mike Lynch also won two events, taking the shot put with a 54-3 1/2 toss and the discus with a 148-9 throw.

Amityville’s Ian Morgan recorded the fastest 200 time in the state this season (21.52). Ward Melville’s Chris Tingue won the 400 in 4:16.64. Centereach’s Andre Silva controlled the 1,600 from the start for a winning time of 4:16.64.

Amityville’s Tamar Fraser won the high jump (6-2) and Northport’s Terry Ross took the long jump (22-8 1/2). Whitman’s James Beaubrun was first in the 3,000 steeplechase in 9:47.18. Bayport-Blue Point’s Jeff Maitland cleared 14-6 for first in the pole vault. Southampton’s Ever Ruiz accrued 3,142 points to claim the pentathlon title.
