Maria Castelli scored from first on a bunt by Marisa Lopez to break a tie at 3 and put Patchogue-Medford ahead for good in its 11-3 victory over Longwood. The Raiders scored three runs in the first inning, but Danielle DeGiorgio had a three-run homer in the bottom of the first to tie it. Kim Anderson’s single scored Jill Labbadia in the top of the 10th inning as Sachem took a 3-2 lead in its 4-2 Division I win over LongwoodLongwood tied it at 2 in the bottom of the seventh on a passed ball. Commack 4, Longwood 1: Jessica Kaminski drove in Kathleen Germinario and Danielle Bender with a double to give Commack a 2-1 lead in the fifth. DIVISION I: The Lindenhurst softball team was in a pinch in the bottom of the seventh inning of its Division I game against Longwood. Who better to come through for the Bulldogs than a pinch hitter. Sophomore Tricia Favara came off the bench to hit the game-winning single to right, scoring Suzanne Hovanec from third to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 win over Longwood. Lindenhurst (3-2) took a 1-0 lead in the first when Michelle Schroeder drove in Shannon Speed on a fielder’s choice. Longwood is 0-5. WP – Kozub. LP – Sollecito. April 25

Longwood 4, Patchogue-Medford 3: Melissa Danchalski’s double in the fourth scored Dana Calvano to give Longwood (3-6) a 4-0 lead. Patchogue (4-6) scored three runs in the seventh, but Jillian Sollecito struck out the last batter to seal the win. Sollecito pitched a five-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk. WP – Sollecito. Sachem 1, Longwood 0: Megan Pfaeffle tripled in the bottom of the fourth and scored on Kim Anderson’s fielder’s choice for the only run of the game for Sachem (8-3). Longwood loaded the bases in the top of the seventh, but third baseman Elise Micena made a diving stop on a grounder and tagged out the third-base runner to end the game.
