Jillian Barra pitched a six-inning one-hitter to lead Brentwood past Longwood, 16-1. It was Barra’s third consecutive one-hitter, according to coach Bill Madsen. She allowed a leadoff homer to Michele DeGiorgio in the fourth inning. Barra, a sophomore righthander, struck out four and walked none. Jen Carcagente and Joann Cappiello each had two-run singles to key a six-run second for Brentwood. The game was called after the sixth inning because of the 15-run rule. WP – Barra. LP – Wachter.
