The Girls Cross Country team looks to be at the top of the heap again, with many veterans returning. the team finished 2nd at Bear Mountain in their first invitational of the year.

In other cross-country results, Kellenberg’s Nick O’Connor placed second in 15:55 and Juan Estrella took fifth in 16:02 in the 5-kilometer boys Varsity 2 race at the Brown University Invitational. Keith Lattman placed fourth in 15:58 to help Floyd place third in the 34-team field with 143 points. In girls cross country, Half Hollow Hills’ Michelle Stefano placed first on the three-mile course at Sunken Meadow Park in 19:20, breaking her own school record of 19:24 set on Oct. 11, as her team lost, 21-40, to Longwood.
