Janelle Kraus ran the 3.1-mile course at Indian Island Park in 20:03, the third-fastest time ever at that course and the fastest in six years, according to Shelter Island coach Cliff Clark. Kraus’ time helped Shelter Island beat Port Jefferson, 21-34 . . . Peter McNally of Longwood and Dario Laredo of Brentwood tied for first at the three-mile course at Cathedral Pines with a time of 16:23 but Longwood won the boys’ cross country meet by a score of 22-39 . . . Patchogue-Medford’s Tony Famiglietti won the three-mile course at Sachem in a time of 16:20 but Sachem won the meet, 23-38.
