Mario Braxton took a pass from Eric Brown and converted a layup with two seconds remaining to lift Longwood to a 58-57 win over Bellport yesterday in the final of the Longwood Tournament. Braxton had six points as Longwood outscored Bellport, 10-2, in the last two minutes. Dec. 31

Eric Goldsborough’s three three-pointers in the first quarter helped Floyd to a 27-9 lead before it cruised to a 76-49 League I victory over Longwood and its ninth straight win. Floyd’s Bobby Hodgson recorded his sixth triple-double of the season with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists . Jan. 20

Jeff Donato scored five first-quarter points as Sachem took a 12-2 lead in its 62-49 win over Longwood and snapped its four-game losing streak. Robert Hodgson scored 39 points as Floyd (10-1) clinched its first boys basketball league title, according to athletic director John Pidgeon, with an 80-57 victory over Longwood yesterday in a League I game. Feb. 10
