Looking Up at Longwood
This past season,Chris Duffner’s Longwood girls cross country team won its first-ever county Class A title in impressive fashion, finishing 38 points ahead of runner-up Connetquot. Four Longwood runners posted personal-best times at the county championship on Nov. 3 to place among the top 11 finishers. Ninth-graders Kristen Bradley and Jennifer DeLosso finished fifth and 11th, respectively, at the county meet. Erin Dolan, an eighth-grader, topped her previous best time by more than one minute to take sixth place and Susan Byrne, Longwood‘s lone senior, wound up eighth.c
